2009 Suzuki SX4 Sport Sedan

Lots of nifty features
Seating position is too highExcerpt from the January 28, 2009, episode of Driving Sports TV Live. The crew takes a look at the new 2009 Suzuki SX4 Sport Sedan. Does this feature-packed little car have what it takes to best the Honda Fit?
Compared to that Honda, the new Suzuki SX4 Sport Sedan simply adds more size and features for the same dollar. It’s longer and wider than the Fit. Though usable interior is very similar. The Suzuki does pack in more features for the money than the Fit: Ours came with a navigation unit and 6CD stereo and was still $1000 less than the Honda.
It even has more power. The 143hp (136ft-lbs@3500) 2-liter inline four produced a throaty, more burly note than the high-strung, but admittedly more fun to drive Honda.
Fit and finish were similar, but I prefer the lines on the Honda. They seem fresher than the mundane Suzuki. Also the Honda's more configurable in a hatchback configuration, with trick fold-up seats.
Overall, the Suzuki SX4 Sport has a lot of value for the money, and it will likely be just as reliable as any other Suzuki. Other than that, it's just another little car that doesn't have any particularly standout features (for good or for bad) which should make it very appealing to folks that view vehicles like they do appliances. Albeit, an appliance with a navigation system.

Funny video! Keep it up guys!
Most useless biased car review Ive heard in a long time. He seems more concerned with trying to be funny, or coming up with sarcastic remarks than he does with conducting quality review. He's the type of person you take to see a movie, and will be more obsessed with making sarcastic comments (hey listen to me, not this movie, I want to steal all the attention this moving is getting instead of me) all the way thru the movie so long as it garners HIM the attention he craves, who cares about the actual movie. Why even bother if you are going to do that type of a review? Lame
James22, you made the point that my review was biased, however you provided zero support for that in your post. Your complete critique was based on my style, which you obviously didn't like, however, style has nothing to do with bias. If you want to know how many rolls of toilet paper you can fit in the trunk, there are plenty of other review programs that will figure out that stunning fact for you.
Right on! Good post.
You really didn't give this car a chance despite your mishaps you had with model to test. I know not a good start but why bash it? I've talked to owners of these vehicles and they can't stop grinning. People as well as companies have to realize also that suzuki is no longer affiliated with daewoo who made utter garbage in the early years. I think for the price with the options this car is ahead of the pack. You certainly can't go wrong with warranty either so as far as reliability i wouldn't be concerned either. Quality and reliability if you want to know what to expect just look at what this company does as far as their motorcycles.
That alone leaves me without any doubts of reliability, stability or craftsmanship. You may like honda but they are only a name and have been around forever but that doesn't make them supreme. I've seen their bodies go long before their engines and i doubt with these suzuki's you will see the bodies or engines fail like honda's do. Plus being that suzuki is new guy and can't hand you cash for your reviews like honda can because of their name obviously doesn't help for a true review.

Wait a minute - Steve, are you saying that automakers *pay* for reviews? If that's true, I've been getting gypped for *years!*
Not a chance, Chumley.
You may not like what Ryan has to say, but the man says what he thinks about cars, and no one has ever paid him (or me) for a review.
In truth, I'm a huge fan of the SX4. I like it over the Nissan Versa I've got right now, (Review to be posted here next week) but that's the beauty of DrivingSports.com - no one says that Ryan and I have to agree on these things, and you can choose which one of us (or neither of us) you like.
But don't go questioning Ryan's integrity. That makes you look like an idiot.
JZ
I didn't question anyone's integrity just the reviews.
But since you go name calling we all know now who's integrity should be questioned, especially since you are supposed to be professionals when you run a business or deal with the public but hey what do i know.
I don't know why this reviewer is bashing on Suzuki, but, my mother has been buying Suzuki cars since 86. She has had a Samurai, Sidekick, Esteem, Grand Vitara, and just recently just purchased a 2009 Vitara 4 cylinder. I WILL TELL YOU THAT MY MOTHER HAS NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH HER CARS AND THEY ALL EXCEEDED 200,000 MILES!!!!!!! These vehicals are 100% Japanese and they are just as good as any other Japanese car maker. I have an 08 and I NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH MY CAR AND I GOT A GREAT DEAL ON IT!!!!!! You can beat Suzuki's price on this car, I got my SX4 sport decked out for under 14 grand !!!! try that out on any other Japanese car maker. Other Japanese car makers will charge close to 20 grand!!! I have had Hondas and wasted thousands and this car out did them all. I was skeptical at first, but my mother convinced me and now I'm convinced
It must be expensive
I am a stunt man and always like these types of bikes.
Thanks dude for this burning information.
When most people see the 2009 Suzuki SX4 Sport is not immediately think of the family tree of Japanese car rally. They do not believe in high-speed turbo engine or all-wheel drive vehicles found in the DNA of this car.
