Not your Dad’s Nissan Pulsar
Click to Play Audio:
Forget the Nissan Pulsar you remember from the 80s. That's not this car. Not even close. This Pulsar, a GTi-R owned by J.C., was a WRC homogolation Special. That means Nissan had to build (and sell) 5,000 of these mean little boxes if they wanted to run them in the World Rally Championship of the day.
It was th rules made similar street going masterworks, such as the Subaru 22B and the Mazda 323GTX, possible. Homogolation rules have gone away, but fortunately the wicked little cars they made possible are still with us.
Listen to the interview with this car's owner, J.C., and get educated about this important piece of JDM history.
