2009 Mazda CX-9: Abrupt Adventure
Ryan and Aaron head to the forest for some offroad testing of Mazda’s largest SUV. Unfortunately, the adventure doesn’t go quite as planned. Back in the city, they continue with the obligatory speed and parking tests. For the comprehensive review, written earlier, click here.
DSTV Live Show 8 Stats
Considering it was our conversion to a subscription-based participation model, I’m actually pretty pleased with our live numbers. Of course, clips from the live show will be rolled out over the next week, resulting in tens of thousands of views. (Or hundreds of thousands, like last week’s Ralliart clip)

Handicapping Top Car Shows
DSTV host Ryan Douthit handicaps the current crop of top car shows (Top Gear, Motorweek, Supercars Unleashed). How exactly does Driving Sports compare at this stage of its development? Also, a solution is offered to remedy the poor state of automotive programming in the United States.
DSTV 8: Handicapping Shows, Tramp Stamps, CX-9
Ryan and Aaron host show #8 of Driving Sports TV Live. In this episode they handicap other car shows, discuss the merits of a certain “tramp stamp” and do some softroad testing of the 2009 Mazda CX-9
Street Racing: Watch that Finger!
I recently read an article in the Seattle Times about some street racers that were caught doing 90mph on a freeway — weaving through traffic and generally pissing off the public at large. First Track Day of the Season
It was the first track day of the season over the weekend at Portland International Raceway, in Portland, Ore. and of course Driving Sports was on hand to see all the weekend warriors knock the cobwebs out of their exhaust pipes and take a turn at the track.
2009 F150 Supercrew 4X4 Lariat
Without a doubt, the 2009 F150 Supercrew 4X4 Lariat edition ½-ton pickup truck is the nicest truck I’ve ever driven. It’s got really comfortable leather seats – and those are both heated and air-conditioned. Yes, it’s really got a machine that whispers cool air at your ass on command. This isn’t really a pickup like you had in decades past – this is a Truck-U-V.
Talking About My Generation – What’s Coming From The Millennials
Every generation shapes the automotive hobby and the industry at large. Our grandparents – well, OK, my grandparents, maybe your great-grandparents – learned to drive in Model T Fords, and that generation invented the traditional hot rod, drag racing, stock car racing, and sports car racing. In many ways, they’re the automotive “greatest generation” – [...]
