For a hot little front-wheel drive coupe, you can't get much better than the tC. That said, the little Scion is starting to get a bit long in the tooth. What to do if you don't have a new model ready yet? Well, if you're Toyota you'll raid the performance parts bin, paint it black and call it the Release Series 5.0 (that's Special Edition in Scion-speak.)

Available in dealerships this March, the "tC RS 5.0" will feature TRD exhaust, 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels coated in black, red lowering springs and a rear sway bar. Inside, drivers will find a leather-wrapped steering wheel and black seats with red stitching. Only 2,000 of this special edition will be built, so if you want one, better scoot down to the dealership.

Overall, a nice update to a fun little car. Still, we're really hoping a whole new tC will be released soon. The rest of the world hasn't been standing still.
