VW Dominates Dakar
Volkswagen scored a huge dual win in this year’s troubled Dakar rally. First, the team took both first and second place, and only an on-stage mishap prevented the VW team from sweeping the podium. The victory was made all the more important because for the first time ever, the Dakar Rally was won by diesel-powered vehicles.
